It was a concept I got.
Timeline for this might be before the movie, during the time when Cloud's still trying to gather himself.

One day after a delivery job done, Cloud parked Fenrir and sat near a cliff watching the sunset alone, then came a familiar feathered creature. It sat near the human (somehow attracted to his spiky blond hair that nearly resembles its yellow feathers). Then Cloud carefully pets (or trying to open it's beak LOL, watever!) the Chocobo as it replies with a 'kweh' (or 'kewh', whichever works)

End of concept LMAO.

Grass was done with photoshop's default 'grass' brushes with a lot of tweeking.
